    Jaap Leegwater will lead in-depth instruction for simple, intermediate, and more complex dances brought back from Bulgaria! Filip Filipov accompanies on accordion. On tour from Denmark and Holland.

    Bring your water bottle and dancing shoes!

    Biography

    Filip Filipov started playing folk music at a very young age as a tâpan player in the folk orchestra of his father. Late he worked as accordionist with the dance ensemble in Varna, Bulgaria and its choreographer Belčo Stanev. He recorded for Tiankov TV, has made 3 CD’s and has an extensive experience as “co-repetitor” playing live for dancers, which he especially enjoys.

    Jaap is a professional dancer and instructor, specializing in Bulgarian dance. He has spent a huge part of his life travelling in Bulgaria, studying the dances, the songs, and the history behind them.
